Aeronautics & Defense Applications
Within a unified simulation platform, PAM-CEM Solutions are aiming at proposing a coherent software package allowing EMC experts in the Aeronautics & Defense area to evaluate the ability of complex systems to resist electromagnetic aggressions such as high altitude Nuclear pulses (NEMP), thunder lightning or High Intensity Radiated Fields, High Power Microwaves. The objective is not only relying in reducing those experimental measurements required for the systems’ qualification, but also in understanding those complex phenomena created by typical electromagnetic aggressions and/or weapons. The models being managed in Defense or Aeronautics applications are not significantly different from the automotive industrial sector for instance, since they are featuring the same contributors: a highly detailed geometrical model, including on-board wiring, bundles and electronic equipment. Anyway, one noticeable difference is relying in the size of the computational models which can exceed 500 millions FD cells up to 12.5 billions.
